April 22nd:
NANOPLEX presents- ARCTIC CIRCLE
Nanoplex presents an afternoon all-ages workshop and performance with 7-piece DIY pop collective Arctic Circle. Songs about ships, bonfires and bus timetables ride waves of pop melody, to be backed up with impromptu choirs and school-age glockenspiel ensembles. Dig out your tambourines, whistles and bells, and bring your singing voice participation is actively encouraged.
July 3rd:
NANOPLEX presents: KIMYA DAWSON AFTERSCHOOL SPECIAL
Kimya Dawson, DIY indie-artist/musician from Portland and K-Records, will engage a younger audience in a participatory performance of deeply personal, uncompromising song-writing tucked into intelligent and clever lyrics. Kimya totally subverts the confessional singer-songwriter genre, singing about Sesame Street and serious illness with all the silliness and fear and total humanity you could ever want. The world is in a state of disarray and Kimya sees that, but she also sees all the magnificent strangeness and unwavering beauty in the world and in people. And she shows us how to see it too.
Grown-ups are welcome to attend, but preference will be given to under 18's (and those accompanying them).
July 24th
NANOPLEX PRESENTS:VIALKA
A special mid-afternoon family friendly gig featuring the wildly entertaining and animated Vialka. The Vialka couple are traveling Europe with their newly born child and babysitter so this will be a perfect show for them. Vialka are known for their energetic, engaged performance, and now parents, promise a show for kids to remember. They draw influences from traditional and modern music from around the world and play with ecstatic energy and a sophisticated musical language all their own.

BABYCINEMA FAMILY FILM FAVOURITE
Still want to see a movie with your baby AND older children? Babycinema at The Cube has been extended for the whole family and will be programming Family Film Favourites the whole family can enjoy together. There will be Family Film Favourite screenings every Tuesday in July at 11 am.
October 21st:
NANOPLEX PRESENTS: BRING YOUR KID FEST
A storybook themed family event taking place in October half term. Dress up
as your favourite book character, and bring your family along to this all
ages show (recommended for ages 4 and up, but all ages welcome). There will
be readings with live sound tracking and projections, storytelling,
instrument making, child friendly performances from local bands (Safety
Word), a live sing-along to well known childrens songs, open mic for any
budding musicians under 16, and a theatre performance from the Dave Fish
Theatre company.
